Today the Vancouver Opera will be introducing the power and beauty of opera to St. George’s Junior School. They will be presenting Hansel & Gretel, an opera full of lively tunes, fast-paced fun, comical characters and a few added surprises. Perfect for young audiences (kindergarten to grade 7), Hansel & Gretel is brought to life in an enchanting English adaptation of Englebert Humperdinck’s full length opera, Hansel und Gretel. The production is 45 minutes long, followed by a short Q&A and sung in English by four singers, accompanied by a pianist.
