RGQ #1

Like Haikuesday and Overheard in the Library, we’ve decided to add a new section to the blog – Really Good Questions (or RGQs, for short). As librarians, we get an awful lot of thoughtful, interesting questions from students; questions that we can’t always answer right away.

Today’s question is from Daniel in Grade 5:

“How many animals have become extinct since I was five years old [i.e. five years ago]?”

The bell went right before we got a chance to investigate this too far, but we started looking at ARKive and the IUCN Red List to try and find out.
