D.E.A.R. Day

Ramona Quimby thought that D.E.A.R. meant “Drop Everything And Run,” but we all know that the R stands for: READ!

Today was a province-wide D.E.A.R. day, so at 11:00 this morning a number of classes stopped what they were doing and read a book for 20 minutes. Mme Hollander distributed French story books to her students, and Ms. Murphy read her class  G is for Googol. 7BS trooped down to the library, cozied up on the couches, and found some wayward Grade 1s in need of reading buddies! Even Mrs. Beames got in on the action, finding a couple of teacher resources that she hadn’t read in a while. Saints is always a busy place, so it was lovely to have a reading break in the middle of the day.
