Student Vote 2014

Students have a voice? YES THEY DO!

Almost 30,000 elementary and high school students in B.C. participated in the first-ever Student Vote local government elections.

“Student Vote is an experiential civic education program that helps young people under the voting age learn about democracy and voting. The program combines in-class learning, family dialogue, media literacy and an authentic in-school vote on the local candidates. The purpose is to provide young Canadians with an opportunity to experience the electoral process firsthand and practice the habits of informed and engaged citizenship.”- http://studentvote.ca/bclocal2014/
